Terms & Conditions of Booking
We look forward to welcoming you to Penvose Barn Camping. By making a holiday booking with us you accept the following Terms & Conditions:

The Greener Camping Club
In order to comply with countryside planning policy, we operate as a Greener Camping Club members-only campsite. The Club was established by people with a passion for sustainable, eco-friendly camping holidays. When you book your holiday with us, you will be enrolled as a member of the Club. Membership costs just £12 per family for the calendar year and gives you access to some of the greenest campsites in the UK. A tree is planted here for every member we enrol.

Payment
We request a 20% non-refundable deposit when booking a camping pitch. Receipt of the deposit secures your booking. Alongside the deposit you will need to pay in full £12 for your Greener Camping Club membership. Pitches and tents are held provisionally for seven days, after which, if we have not received your deposit, the dates will be released. The balance is required four weeks prior to your arrival date. If we do not receive your balance by this time, we will assume you have cancelled your holiday and release the dates - see below. For short lead-time bookings - ie. those booked less than four weeks before arrival, the full amount will be requested to secure the booking.

Cancellation by You
If you cancel your holiday four weeks or more before your arrival date and you have paid in full, 80% will be refunded, you just pay the 20% booking fee. Holidays cancelled within 4 weeks of your arrival date will not be refunded, but you will be offered alternative dates. If you are concerned about the prospect of cancellation, please take out holiday insurance.

Cancellation by Us
Penvose Barn Camping reserves the right to cancel at short notice if we are unable to provide safe accommodation or camping environment, due to extreme weather conditions, ill health, fire, flooding, a Covid Lockdown or any other extenuating circumstances beyond our control. Under such circumstances, your full payment will be returned to you or you can of course book alternative dates. Penvose Barn Camping cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, caused by cancellation, so please take out adequate holiday insurance.

The Greener Camping Club membership fee is not refundable.

Safety for Children & Adults

We permit campfires, dogs and use a ride-on mower. Please take the time to make yourself and others aware of the risks. Although small risks these should be self-evident - but if you are not clear, please ask! Penvose Camping accepts no responsibility for injury incurred on site. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children and dogs on site at all times.

Arrival & Departure
Arrival time is between 2pm and 6pm (please let us know a rough arrival time by text). There is dedicated parking for the Dome and Bell Tent located at the south car park (see map). This is accessed from the main gate just off the A39 main road. Camping pitches are accessed via the Northern gateway located along the lane off the A39 main road (see map) When you arrive please pull into the appropriate carpark, send a text or call Ben 07775 644103 and he can come and meet you.
On departure day, please vacate your camping pitch by 12pm latest.

Campervans/cars
Campervans park on the pitch. Tent camping we kindly ask that cars are left in the car park area (see map) to minimise traffic on site (cars can be on pitches for setting up or packing away)

Consideration for Others
This is a peaceful, family campsite for the enjoyment of nature. We ask that you don't play loud music and talk quietly after 9.30pm. Noisy visitors who disturb other guests will be asked politely to leave, without refund.

Recycling & Rubbish
As an eco campsite all rubbish will be recycled. We are lucky to have an environmentally sensitive waste management company. This means they separate glass, tins, plastic, paper, cardboard, etc once the bin contents reach their recycling depot. So this means all waste (plastic/glass/cardboard/black bag waste) goes into our general waste bin. If you can, please burn your rubbish on your own campfires carefully. Please rinse your recycling out.

Campfires
Please only use the designated firepits. Do not leave your campfire unattended. in some cases we may have to ban fires due to long periods of dry weather. Penvose Barn Camping accepts no liablity for injury or damage caused by your campfire. By lighting it you accept full responsibility for it.

Chemical Toilet Disposal
We have no disposal points, and use site toilets.

Property Loss
Penvose Barn Camping cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property.

Smokers
If you smoke, do so on your own pitch and dispose of your cigarette ends in your campfire or very carefully in the general waste. Anyone breaking these rules may be asked to leave without refund.

Dog Policy
We are delighted to have dogs at Penvose Barn Camping, but all dogs MUST be on a lead in the campsite apart from on your own pitch where well behaved dogs do not have to be on a lead. All dog waste MUST be picked up and disposed of carefully in the general waste. Dogs must never be left unattended on site.

The Weather
Very strong winds and torrential rain can occur at any time of year. You must ensure that your tent is robust and pitched correctly. Please note, we do not provide a refund because the weather has not worked out, or is not to your liking.
